This very special Central Coast Wedding Expo to be held at Mingara on Sunday June 22 is designed to bring together the many categories that represent our wonderful Wedding Profession. To ensure maximum benefit for your participation bookings will be attempted to be limited in each category to approximately four exhibitors and preference will be given to two exhibitors from the Wyong Shire region and two exhibitors from the Gosford City region. As a community profile event we have attracted very generous media support from SEA FM in recognition of our hosts and enthusiastic friends The Lioness Club of East Gosford. Advertising will commence at the start of June and we will be featured on all SEA FM shows which include breakfast, morning, afternoon, evening and drive shows. Getting – HitchedWedding Expo with a DifferenceMingara Sunday 22 June 2008 10am – 3pm
Printed MagazineA printed exhibitor magazine is being put together for brides and grooms to take with them from the Getting Hitched expo with a difference advertising your business. Please ensure payment has been received prior to June 1st to ensure you are included in the magazine.
Exhibitor Stall Cost$220 Payment can be made via cheque or direct deposit - details will be sent out with confirmation of your booking. Payment must be received within 7 days of this confirmation. So far over 87 bookings have been received so please respond quickly as there is only a couple of stalls now available.
Display AreaThe venue is Mingara’s spacious Showroom with stage and Pre-Function area. Up to 100 stalls can be set up however, for functionality purposes we may limit bookings to 90 stalls. Upon registration you will be allocated an exhibitor area. Exhibitors within a similar category will be positioned throughout the venue, thereby reducing competition. You will then be provided with a standard rectangle size table, table cloth and 2 chairs. Exhbitor Stall sizes are -
For additional items such as backing boards you will be provided with a list of Mingara’s preferred suppliers. We request that you only use these preferred suppliers. Additional electricity will be sourced over the coming weeks. Sound displays within the main showroom must not disturb others. If your exhibit requires special consideration then we invite you to contact us immediately.
Bump In / Bump OutSpecial Note to all Exhibitors on unloading on the day- The unloading area at the loading docks is very cramped & requires you to drive in forwards & reverse out, if you do not have bulk items to unload I would suggest that you port your items in directly from the parking area to reduce congestion. If you do need to unload at the dock area, unload & leave items there whilst you park your vehicle we will have Lioness ladies to watch over your items whilst you do this). This will help once again to alleviate congestion. I suggest that you allow yourself extra time for set up & please be patient.
Bump in time is from 6:30am for a 10 am start. Completion of the expo is 3:15pm with bump out to be completed by 5pm. A Security Guard will be provided for the entry / exit door area. An AV Technician will be in attendance for your support. Lioness Ladies will look after stalls and equipment if you need to be away for any set time.
High LightsAs part of our expo creative displays will be performed during the day. These are to be held in the foyer leading to the auditorium and participation will be invited from early registrations. A Wedding Services Auction will be a highlight during the day. Participation is voluntary. Prizes donated by Magenta Shores will be drawn hourly: At 11am and again at 1:00pm we will host our special show entitled “The Dressing of the Bride”. This will create an opportunity for early registrations to volunteer their services to be part of an exciting event that introduces the many services that make up the wedding profession. These shows will take place on the centre stage area and will be shown live on the overhead screens situated in the auditorium and pre-function area. As a special treat free dance demonstrations will be available in between promotions. All brides will receive a special free edition of the WHITE wedding magazine.
Promotion$10,000 worth of advertising has been donated from SEA FM and the commercials will air from June 9 until June 22. Community Switch announcements will promote the event from 01 June 2008. The Express Advocate will run feature stories in both Wyong and Gosford newspapers. Mingara will promote the event through its foyer advertising throughout the month of June.
Promotional SupportExhibitors will receive a free directory listing on www.getting-hitched.com.au/directory.html page. We will also be compiling a free printed wedding services expo booklet to be given to brides & grooms on the day. All exhibitors currently registered with Weddings 4 U will receive a free quarter page advertisement. Other Exhibitors wishing to have a quarter page advertisement in the booklet are encouraged to contact Weddings4u.com.au at least 30 days before the expo. 'Getting Hitched' expo bags will be provided to brides & grooms for your supply of pamphlets and brochures.
